JESSICA'S MUSIC LOVE OF APRIL 2014

Ages ago I had the brilliant idea of displaying to the world what I was obsessed with musically every month, but when I tell you literally banged out the same songs for a good 3 months I just didn't see the point! Well anyway linked below is my two songs that I just can't get enough of. the first if HAIM - If I Could Change My Mind and the second is The Weeknd - Wanderlust.

HAIM is an American girl band and I just love them... I discovered them a few weeks ago but the fact that I only discovered them now Lord I wish I knew. I seriously cannot being to describe how much I love them, I don't know what it is because this type of music is not what I would usually go for because if someone asked me 'do you like rock music Jessica?' I would deny it at any chance I got, but errr not this time, not any more.

Now if anyone could describe me they would literally say that I am completely obsessed, in love, infatuated, lovesick, head over heels for the Weeknd.. I feel like I should do a completely separate post for my most favorite songs for The Weeknd but to be honest, you'd all get sick of me showing you every single song he has ever made or featured in.

Imagine, every

single

song

he ever made

on one post...

Anyway this song below wanderlust has such an Michael Jackson feel that I can't get enough, literally...

PREPPY IN NAVY

Wearing:
Shirt - Primark
Jumper - Ebay Fruit of Loom (DIY cropped)
Bomber Jacket - H&M
Skater Skirt - Topshop
Rings - H&M/Ebay
New Balance 574 - Office

Hey guys, I know its been a while since you've seen my beautiful face. Just coming to you with an outfit post, I haven't done an outfit post in what seems like forever and trust me posing for this outfit was so nerve-racking so apologies for the weird poses.

This outfit was literally thought of in the space of 5 minutes.. only because my wardrobe literally scream preppy so its not hard to find a jumper and shirt, and as for the skirt and kicks.. I literally cannot wear a skirt without unconsciously wearing a pair of trainers or chunky boots to try and steer away from that girly look. I'm slowly building up my SS wardrobe and I can't wait to wear all these clothes, but this British weather has been a tad bit bipolar these past few weeks so it literally puts me off everything..

Oh yeah my hair... right so I basically cut it and dyed it red. It turned out a bit gingerish more than red but I'm not complaining! The color is Red Copper by Creme of Nature, I totally recommend it for anyone with Afro-Caribbean hair that has naturally black hair, this hair has literally given me a new persona LOL its a problem for my friends now hahaha, 'that annoying red head'.

Adios!

OFF BALANCE

Ok so round of applause for these bad boys *waits for you to clap*

Finished clapping? I am a bit of a trainer fiend, but I'm always on a tight budget and all I end up doing is just drooling over trainers for months and pray they magically appear in my life. And funny thing is is that my mother actually bought them for me, now I don't really know how my mum got to the conclusion that new balances were what I wanted but even so I'm just grateful she bought them! They are soooooooooooooooooo comfy, with the amount of o's I put in so you can probably tell how comfy they are! I absolutely love them. Buzzing to style them and bring out the true beauty in them, but all in due time guys, due time,

So...

Until next time, keep stalking my blog!

LIGHT PINKS AND PUFFY BOMBERS

Wearing:
Shirt - New Look
Bomber - Ebay.co.uk
Cut Out Boots - Simmishoes.co.uk
Bodycon skirt - H&M

Guess who is back? *raises hand* so today me and my friend went out to the city today to visit some art galleries as part of our initial artist research for our exam work, it was.... [insert arty farty words here].

This is potentially the only pink piece of clothing I have in my wardrobe to date, when I was younger I used to be absolutely obsessed with pink, my room was all pink everything, then I grew up; but instead I 'grew up' to the point where I had hardly anything pink in my wardrobe, then I bought this shirt ha! I think I like the best of both worlds, to wear something with a tomboy feel but to then always give it that girly edge. This bomber is literally so comfy, feels like I'm permanently wrapped up in my duvet, love it love it love it. Anyway so below is just a few snaps from today

WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO: LIFE POST

I never seem to know how to start off my posts so let me just start off by saying aloha... Well this is literally me trying to give you guys an excuse for my disappearance. I'm not gonna lie to you I have basically been running around like a headless chicken these past few weeks that I never get the time to just sit down and relax with no problems with my conscience trying to tell me 'finish that essay' or 'do some artist research'.

Its now becoming a matter of determination and motivation and more less of a matter of 'oh I'll do it later'. I got a lot lined up like I said in my previous posts and I seriously ain't lying, just give me the time. But seriously this is just a quick post to say that I am still alive and kicking! PS-do you like my new blog layout? I've probably learnt so much about HTML codes and CSS that I never thought I could actually learn.. ever.

Hugs and Kisses and all that jazz.

THE BOMBER

I've been eyeing up bomber jackets ages, been thinking of starting a collection of a horizon of bombers but to be completely honest I just love the A1 flight bomber I got off ebay (for link click here here) and now I don't see the point of buying any other types. I was a tad bit hesitant to exchange it for a smaller size as I had bought it in medium because and it was so baggy on me. When I first started trying it on after it arrived in the post I felt uncomfortable with just how baggy it is as a jacket; I don't normally buy baggy jackets and/or coats just baggy clothes. But the more I wore it, the more I started to appreciate its baggyness as a jacket.. is baggyness even a word? no but I can't think of any other way to put it lol.

Anyway enough about baggyness... I've got to say I have loads of great photography projects coming up along with something called revision and art portfolio interviews for uni (I'm the weird person out of every A Level Art class that took essay writing subjects along with art), its so hard to keep track of everything really. One week goes by and I say 'yes I'm gonna do a blog post today' but then I look out the window and I remember I'm in Britain, the rain and wind hasn't calmed down for a good week or two [screams internally] so I think I'll just have to grab every opportunity as it comes.
PS Weather: please be nice to me.
